What Juneteenth Means to Me

Meg Cernak 3rd grade Creative Expression.jpg

Meg Cernak

This 3rd Grade student wanted to portray the difference in both Work Life and Home Life from when people were enslaved to now.

Aubriella Sanzo

The 4th Grade student says:

I have been told that some people believe that different people couldn’t do some things just because they look different, but I do not think that is fair. So today I drew this picture of a lady who gave me inspiration. So I hope every time you look at my drawing I want  you to think “wow that drawing is inspirational” and always remember that it doesn't matter if you’re black or white because deep down I know that you're special.
